Take a word - Beauty

This week's theme at Take a Word is BEAUTY. This photo was taken last December when it had snowed quite a lot. The photo shows branches with red berries with lots of ice and snow on it. The background is from My Mind´s Eye. The word beauty is on a piece of Periphery paper (Basic Grey). I used a Martha Stewart punch to create a border with snowflakes. The large snowflakes are also made with a Martha Stewart punch.

Het thema van deze week bij Take a Word is BEAUTY. Deze foto is genomen in december toen er veel sneeuw gevallen was. Op de foto staat een tak met rde bessen waarop veel ijs en sneeuw ligt. Het achtergrond papier is van My Mind´s Eye. Het woord beauty ligt op een stuk Basic Grey papier (Periphery). Met een Martha Stewart pons heb ik een rand van sneeuwvlokken gemaakt. De grote sneeuwvlokken zijn ook are geponst met een Martha Stewart pons.

I made this canvas for this week´s challenge of Take a Word, which is HOME.
I painted the canvas with orange, yellow and brown acrylic paints. The castle is a paperartsy image stamped on metal. The roofs are coloured with alcohol ink. The lace border I made with a Martha Stewart punch. Embellishments are from Tim Holz. The flowers are from Prima. Thanks for looking.

De canvas heb ik geverfd met oranje, gele and bruine acrylverf. Het kasteel is een stempel van paperartsy op metaal. De daken zijn ingekleurd met alcohol inkt. Het kantje is van papier, gemaakt met een Martha Stewart pons. Embellishments zijn van Tim Holz. De bloemen zijn van Prima. Bedankt voor het kijken!

I made this scenery card for this week´s challenge of Take a Word, which is MOON.
All stamps are from Stampscapes. I used Adirondack inks to color the scenery. The white dots are made with a pigment ink gel pen and frosty white ink from Colorbox. Thanks for looking.

Take a word - Time

I made this layout for the first challenge of Take a Word, which is TIME.
In 1972 our parents took us to the Floriade in Amsterdam. My father took a lot of photos of us in front of huge pictures of Amsterdam sceneries. In 1984 I was the person who liked to take photographs of my parents. Many years and photos later we, children and grandchildren, were photographed for the celebration of our parents´ 40th wedding anniversary. Deze layout heb ik gemaakt voor de eerste challenge van Take a Word: TIME.
In 1972 nemen onze ouders ons mee naar de Floriade in Amsterdam. Er stonde enorme foto's van Amsterdam, waarin we door onze vader uitgebreid gefotografeerd werden. In 1984 was ik inmiddels zover, dat ik mijn ouders een geliefd onderwerp voor mijn foto's vond. Vele jaren en foto's later zijn wij als kinderen en kleinkinderen in het najaar van 2001 op de foto gezet ter gelegenheid van het 40-jarig huwelijk van onze ouders. Bedankt voor het kijken!
